I am interested in alternative approaches on the treatment of biofilm-related infections and currently working on a project to design a targeted drug delivery system to treat urinary tract E.coli infections.

From a post-doc’s experiences: KUISCID

As a post-doc, I have experienced the great research facilities of Koç University and had the chance to combine my chemistry background with microbial world. I am currently working on a project to design a targeted drug delivery system on the treatment of urinary tract E.coli infections. As a multi-disciplinary study, this project combines chemistry (synthesis and characterization of targeted nanoparticle cargo systems), microbiology (bacterial susceptibility tests, biofilm experiments and imaging) and physics (laser research for boosting up the drug inhibition).
