Applied Microbiology International Acknowledges Our Publication

KUISCID researchers, in collaboration with Koç University Faculty of Science published their research “Fimbria targeting superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles enhance the antimicrobial and antibiofilm activity of ciprofloxacin against quinolone-resistant E. coli” in one of the high impact journals of the field “Microbial Biotechnology”. Moreover, the article was acknowledged in  “The Microbiologist” which is a monthly newsletter of Applied Microbiology International.

New Project: TUBITAK 1001

Our post-doctoral researcher Dr. Cansel Vatansever’s research project, “Modification of Hypervirulant Klebsiella pneumoniae virulence with CRISPR/Cas9 for real-time monitorization of sepsis pathogenesis in an in vivo mouse sepsis model,” was approved as a TUBITAK 1001 project.

COVID-19 in Transplant Patients: A Multi-Centered Study

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) has infected approximately 635 million individuals and caused almost 6.5 million deaths worldwide. KUISCID researchers analyzed the neutralizing antibody response among transplant patients who were immunosuppressed. Their study “BNT162b2 or CoronaVac as the Third Dose against Omicron: Neutralizing Antibody Responses among Transplant Recipients Who Had Received Two Doses of CoronaVac” was published in “Viruses”.
