Global Warming Increases The Risk Of Infectious Diseases

KUISCID International Network is Expanding

Our research “Impact of COVID-19 infection on antibiotic resistance” in collaboration with Oxford University facilitated a new research project with its outcomes that drew attention worldwide. Together with Oxford University, we will be conducting another research project of “Antibiotic resistance in countries with different income levels and the burden of antibiotic treatment” for 3 years. We have completed the initial protocols and are glad to be involved in such projects to create financial resources as well as to expand our collaboration network.


New Project: TUBITAK 1001

KUISCID Mycology Lab Manager Dr. Özlem Doğan’s project “Chitosan-based metal nanoparticle delivery by erythrocytes against multi-drug resistant Candida auris infections in vitro and in vivo” is accepted as a TUBITAK 1001 project. We congratulate our researcher.


PhD Thesis Published in Vaccine

PhD Thesis “Uptake of COVID-19 vaccines among healthcare workers and the effect of nudging interventions: A mixed methods study” of Bahar Madran, under the supervision of KUISCID Director Prof. Önder Ergönül, is published in Vaccine Journal which is a high impact journal in the field. Dr. Madran’s research points out the high risk of healthcare workers during the COVID-19 infections and their critical role on vaccination.
