Dr. Gülen ESKEN is a laboratory specialist at Koç University-İş Bankası Center of Infectious Disease (KUISCID). She received her BSc degree in Life Sciences and her MSc in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Paris Sorbonne University. During her Ph.D. at Hacettepe University Stem Cell Research and Development Center, she generated human induced pluripotent Stem Cells derived from Griscelli Syndrome patient’s bone marrow Mesenchymal Stem cells and their lymphohematopoetic differentiation. In addition, she performed her post-doctoral research at Yeditepe University on hİPSCs and the effect of small molecules on different cancer cells and neonatal mice myocardial regeneration. Afterward, she continued her research at TÜBİTAK-MAM Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Institute on in vivo effect of different SARS-CoV-2 vaccines in BSL-3 condition.
