New TUBITAK 1001 Project

Assoc. Prof. Mert Kuşkucu’s study “Genomic Characterization of CCHF Virus in H. marginatum in Endemic and Non-Endemic Regions in Turkey and Investigation of the Roles of Genomic Differences in Proliferation Dynamics and Antiviral Susceptibility in Cell Culture Models” was accepted as a TUBITAK 1001 project. We congratulate Dr.Kuşkucu for his great contributions to Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever.

Teke Tek Science: Emerging Viruses

Our director Prof. Önder Ergönül was the guest speaker of the Teke Tek Science program. Prof. Ergönül talked about the development of science, persistence in science, and the possibility of doing science in Türkiye as well as discussing the possible future threats of emerging infections. He emphasized the importance of research and multi-disciplinary collaborations. Research centers such as KUISCID will provide great contributions to do science in Türkiye, according to Prof.Ergönül.

The Resistance Adventure of the Bacteria Causing Hospital Infections

KUISCID researchers published their article “Recovery of adherence, serum resistance and ompW in Acinetobacter baumannii” in the journal “Plos One” .
